Forecast:  Green and Racing at Racing at Tri-City Raceway Park

(Franklin, PA July 27, 2022):  With a  favorable weekend weather forecast as a change of pace, Merle Black and the staff at Tri-City Raceway Park are looking forward to a return of racing action at the Venango County oval. “With a couple of cancellations in a row, the racers will have a lot of pent up energy,” track owner Black said. “We think the fans will be excited, too.” That should make for a great night for all at the speedway on July 31.

The racing will be intense, as the season is entering the home stretch. That means the racers will have only a handful of opportunities to earn more points toward the track championships.

Jack Sodeman, Jr. currently leads the way in the Shawgo Real Estate LLC 410 Sprint Cars, while Jeremiah Shingledecker looks to go back-to-back in the Donovan & Bauer Auto Group 358 Modifieds. Teenager Tyler Wyant will be gunning for his first title in the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks. Levi Mascal wants to get another winning streak going in the 4 Your Car Connection Mini Stocks.

These racers will face plenty of stiff competition, so you don’t want to miss this event!

Racing will start at 6 p.m. Pit gates will open at 2 p.m., and spectator gates will open at 4 p.m. Show up early to make sure that you get the best vantage point to take in the action.

Regular event ticket pricing will apply. So, adults (ages 16 to 62) will be admitted for $15, and seniors (ages 62 and up) will take in the show for $13. Students (ages 10 to 16) will enter for just $10, and the younger set (ages 10 and under) will be admitted for free. The Family Pass will be available for two adults of any age and two students. The Pit Passes will be $30.

If you cannot make it to the races on July 31, Tri-City Raceway Park will present Sunday Thunder events on August 7 and 14, with racing for the four classes:  the Shawgo Real Estate, LLC 410 Sprint Cars, the Donovan & Bauer Auto Group 358 Modifieds, the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks, and the 4 Your Car Connection Mini Stocks.

Remember that, on Sunday, August 21, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series will invade Tri-City Raceway Park. Local star, Max Blair, who cut his teeth at Tri-City Raceway Park, is second in the World of Outlaws season standings. He would like nothing more than to score a win in front of his home town crowd. The 4 Your Car Connection Mini Stocks will also be in action that night. Please note that putting the Mini Stocks on the card is a schedule change due to a conflicting date for the RUSH Sprint Cars.
