Blair and Briggs Looking Forward to WoO Return to Tri-City Raceway Park

(August 18, 2022):  The World of Outlaws Late Model Series will conclude its weekend at Tri-City Raceway Park. It will be the first time in twelve years that the Most Powerful Late Models on the Planet will invade the Venango County Oval. You will not want to miss this one!

Two of the touring pros are looking forward to the return. Max Blair, of nearby Centerville, is locked in a battle for the Rookie of the Year title. He is twenty points behind Tanner English for that honor. And, Blair also has a shot at the series championship, as he is 184 points behind Dennis Erb, Jr. Boom Briggs, who hails from Bear Lake, PA, is currently eighth in the championship hunt. Both Blair and Briggs have won Late Model races at Tri-City, but never with the World of Outlaws, so it would be a tremendous accomplishment for either of them to win this Sunday.

Another national talent with local ties is Shane Clanton. The Georgia Bulldog married into the Davies family from Warren, PA. Clanton is a former Outlaws champion with two career wins at Tri-City.

Other top racers expected to race this Sunday include Brent Larson, Gordy Gundaker, Josh Richards, Ryan Gustin, and Devin Moran.

Joining the World of Outlaws Late Models in competition will be the 4 Your Car Connection Mini Stocks. It will be a special event for them too, as they will race for $700 to win and $70 to start.

Ticket prices on raceday will be $30 for all adults and $40 for Pit Passes.

The Pit gates will open at 2 p.m. and the grandstand gates will open at 4 p.m. Plan to be atthe track early to get your favorite seats. Racing will start at 6 p.m.

If you cannot make it to the track this Sunday, August 21, for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, plan to attend on Sunday, August 28, for a Sunday Thunder contest consisting of the Shawgo Real Estate LLC 410 Sprint Cars, the Donovan & Bauer Auto Group 358 Modifieds, the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks, and the 4 Your Car Connection Mini Stocks. Promoter Merle Black has something special in the works for August 28, including the appearance of the Western Ohio stars from the FAST Sprint Car Series (formerly the Fremont Attica Sprint Tour). So watch the website and social media for additional details as that race date approaches.
