Smash ‘em, Crash ‘em at Tri-City Raceway Park
(Franklin, PA July 26, 2023): Tri-City Raceway Park will present a Demolition Derby on Sunday, July 30. Also on the card will be a fan favorite, an Enduro Race.
Demolition Derbies can be motorized mayhem! There will be head-on collisions, rear enders, and T-bone crashes. Cars may roll over; they might even catch fire. You see, the objective is to use the vehicle as a battering ram to inflict enough damage to one’s adversaries so that cars are knocked out of competition. The last vehicle moving is declared the winner!
The Demo Derby will be held on the front stretch, so the fans will have great views of all the bone-jarring impacts!
The fans wanting to see the racers using the whole track surface will enjoy the Enduro. In an Enduro, street legal cars with a minimum amount of modifications for safety purposes will tackle the fast half mile. The winner will be the first driver to complete all of the laps.
Because many of the competitors are amateurs, there may be plenty of contact in that event, too. But, the objective is to get your car to the finish line first!
The admission price for these unique events will be just $15. Pit passes will be $20.
The pit gates will open at 2 p.m. and spectator gates will open at 4 p.m. The on-track action will start at 6 p.m.
Regular racing will return to Tri-City Raceway Park on Sunday, August 6. That will be a Sunday Thunder program consisting of the Diehl Chevrolet 410 Sprint Cars, the Pitt Stop Pub 358 Modifieds, the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks, and the 4 Your Car Connection Four Cylinder Mini Stocks. August 6 will also be Autograph Night, so fans of all ages will get to meet and greet their favorite racers, get autographs, and take pictures, too.
Then, on August 13, the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series will invade Tri-City Raceway Park. Those 410 Sprints will race without the wings, so it will be traditional, broadsliding and hair-raising wheel to wheel action! You certainly want to see those daring drivers at the speedy Venango County oval.
