Wet Conditions Stop Tri-City Raceway Park

(Franklin, PA August 13, 2023):  Excessive rainfall on Saturday left the race track too wet and soggy to be worked into shape for Sunday’s racing activity at Tri-City Raceway Park.

“The track was like a swamp,” said owner Merle Black. “We will keep our fingers crossed for some sunny days to dry things out during the week so we can go racing next week,” he added.

A four division program is set for August 20 sponsored by the Moose Club. There will be extra dollars on the line for the Diehl Chevrolet 410 Sprint Cars and the 4 Your Car Connection Four Cylinder Mini Stocks. The Pitt Stop Pub 358 Modifieds will be in action also, The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks will provide support.

August 20 will also be Kids Back to School Night, with bike races for the younger set. Helmets will be required.

Remember that the Pit gates will open at 2 p.m. and the spectator gates at 4 p.m. Racing will commence at 6 p.m.

Regular event ticket pricing will apply, meaning $15 general admission for all adults (ages 16 to 62). Seniors (ages 62 and up) and students (ages 10 to 16) will be admitted for $13. Children (under 10 years of age) will be free. The Family Pass will be offered for $45, and that is good for two adults of any age and two students. Pit Passes will be $30.

If you cannot make it to the track on August 20, there will be another Sunday Thunder program hosted on August 27. The UMP Modifieds will be added to the card courtesy of A & MP electric, Inc., of Guys Mills, PA.

Then, coming on Labor Day Weekend, there will be the big September Weekend Bash. Watch the track website and social media for details which will be forthcoming soon.
