Tri-City Raceway Park Postpones Opener

(Franklin, PA April 29, 2023):  Due to continuing rain and wet grounds, Tri-City Raceway Park has postponed its opening event until May 7, 2023.

“We hoped to get this show in,” owner Merle Black said in announcing the cancellation of the April 30 race. “But the weather just did not cooperate with us.”

The program on May 7 will consist of five divisions:  410 Sprint Cars, 358 Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Four Cylinder Mini Stocks, and RUSH Sprint Cars. The top 2022 Pro Stock Drivers will receive their accolades courtesy of Hovis Auto & Truck Supply, and the last season’s dominant Mini Stock racers will get their due from 4 Your Car Connection.

Pit gates will open at 2 p.m, spectator gates will open at 4 p.m., and racing will start at 6 p.m.

If you cannot make it to the rescheduled opener, remember that the Sunday Thunder card will be repeated on May 14. Plus, the cream of the crop in the 410 Sprints and 358 Modifieds will be honored.
